To make his garden a haven for the butterflies he loves to photograph, Marcello entrusted us with his creation.
Less common than garden designs to attract birds, a butterfly garden must be rich in nectariferous flowers.
We’ve selected plants that attract butterflies and look as natural as possible in this southern garden: buddleya, lilac, lavender, valerian, lantana, sage, immortelle, dimorphoteca… have been chosen so that the butterflies have something to forage on.
Another tip: don’t hesitate to leave a small watering hole where your butterflies can quench their thirst. A simple, slightly hollow stone in which you leave a few centimetres of fresh water, changed daily, will suffice.
