If you’re thinking of landscaping your backyard but don’t know how to go about it, here are a few tips that we recommend you put into practice with the help of our outdoor simulator:

>what do you really want to do with this space: dining area, children’s play area, equipment storage area…=> determine the zones corresponding to these functions.

>hide overlooking areas with long planters planted with shrubs or bamboo

>hide or repaint unsightly walls, climbers are ideal for this: star jasmine (here), honeysuckle…

>if you create several zones with different functions (e.g. play and dining), delimit the corresponding zones on the floor using different floor coverings. The same applies to traffic routes (here, wooden gratings).

>if you want to kill two birds with one stone, we recommend making wooden (or masonry) benches/coffits that will allow you to sit down and store equipment (tools, cushions, parasol…).

>for plants, choose pots of at least 20l so that they grow properly and don’t dry out too quickly.
