Sophie (66) wanted to run a simulation to design her inner courtyard and create a square vegetable garden.
She chose to cover the walls with wooden palisades, and the ground with grey pebbles, creating a dry garden from which emerge maintenance-free palms, cordylines and cycas. Our tip: don’t forget to place a geotextile underneath the pebbles to prevent weeds from growing.
For the vegetable garden, we like the idea of combining the square vegetable garden with the vertical flower-filled garden at the back, in the style of a green wall. However, be sure to place it in as much sunlight as possible to harvest beautiful vegetables and fruit.
