Flowering the front of your house is the dream of many city dwellers, who want a bit of nature at the entrance to their home. A common feature in many villages, greening the exterior of the house creates a cocoon and an atmosphere that will delight its occupants. What’s more, vegetation plays a role in the thermal regulation of the dwelling: in summer, the plants on the facade act as thermal protection, reducing the indoor temperature by 2°C according to a recent study.

Last but not least, as well as being aesthetically pleasing, putting plants in the street creates a refuge for wildlife, attracting birds and insects, which are in great need of them these days. For this reason, consider using plants that attract these animals: Virginia creeper, ivy, honeysuckle, etc. In these climbers, add flowering plants such as clematis.

Finally, mark the entrance with pots planted with structured or ball-shaped plants.
