Lucas (Aquitaine), this week’s winner, wanted to find a way to hide the view he had from his terrace onto the surrounding buildings, and create a cocoon for himself away from prying eyes.

To preserve light, mixed and double hedges were preferred to large trees.

Bamboos provide shade in the background, with a few shrubs in between, and plant beds in front, creating a varied décor where you’ll enjoy living with a hidden view.

our advice: avoid single-species hedges, which are monotonous and confining. On the other hand, playing with the height of the plants allows you to create openings in unoverlooked areas and create a much more harmonious effect. The final advantage is that if a plant dies or is no longer to your liking, you can change it without having a hole in your hedge.
