A successful result for this garden where the swimming pool has pride of place. However, be sure to respect the regulatory distances from your neighbors.
The idea of the two big pots next to each other is a good one, and adds height to the design. A third lower down, with a flowering plant like the daisy in the background, would add color and recall the background.
The ideal solution around such a pool is either to extend the wooden deck, or to surround it with small pebbles set on a geotextile mat to prevent weeds from growing.
