Ludovic (Ile-de-France) designed a flowering hedge based on a drawing for a future landscaping project.

To create a harmonious design, he followed a few important rules for flowering hedges:

-Choose a range of plants that bloom in alternating seasons.

-Mixing evergreens (the majority) with deciduous plants that bloom exuberantly.

-Make a different sequence of plants (ABCDECDEBACEBDA), i.e. don’t reproduce the same repetitive planting order (ABCDEABCDEABCDE), which looks unnatural.

-Choose flowering hedge plants suited to your environment, and our online garden design site will make automatic recommendations just as a landscape gardener would. You can even choose the exposure of your hedge (sun, half-shade, shade), and get suitable shrubs without knowing anything about it.

If you really don’t have the time, choose our “Ready-to-plant” flowering hedge compositions, which will give you a precise example that’s easy to implement and plant.
